RELIGIONS OF NEPAL
Nepal is the only Hindu kingdom in the world. More than fifty percent of the people of Nepal are Hindus. But there are others religions like Buddhists, Muslims, and Christianity. All the four major pillars live in harmony with each other. There is understanding between the people of Nepal. Religious tolerance is the main cause of the peace in the country. Almost all the people celebrate all the feast and festival of each religion. No religious riots have ever taken. Hindus go to Swayambhunath and the Buddhists celebrate the festivals of Hindus. For five days in a year, the lord Pashupatinath is worshipped as Buddha. Besides, all the religions celebrate New year of Christian as well.
Hence, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims and Christians are the four pillars living in peace and harmony with a good sense of religious tolerance.
